Can you tell me if these photos show miniaturization?

I have advised many of my readers to go to Amazon and purchase a $15 hand microscope to study their hair and the degree of miniaturization if they are concerned about early balding. This is what one person asked and sent to me. What I see is considerable miniaturization in the photo on the right. I use a 20 percent standard where hair shafts must have a smaller diameter in more than 20 percent of the shafts shown. I generally like to cut the hairs short so it is easier to count the hairs that are normal and miniaturized. The photo on the right shows some miniaturization present in excess of 20 percent of the hairs in the field of view.

The quality is the best I could do for this $15 microscope camera. I will try and get  a better one soon.
