No, I don’t believe that these results are permanent. Take a look at baldingblog’s link on Reddit which has a great review of microneedling. https://baldingblog.com/review-of-microneedling-extensive-thorough-from-reddit/

I hope that when his body is home, that the cause of death will be identified. It is easy to call it a heart attack, when it could have been something else. There have been other deaths during hair transplants, one in Los Angeles was due to an overdose of an anesthetic drug, for example. Many of the Turkey clinics don’t have a doctor who understands dosing anesthesia medications.
The article reports that the body was covered with blood. The body covered with blood? That doesn’t happen with FUE unless you don’t use the right medications that contains epinephrine which constricts the blood vessels and allows clotting to occur. Maybe he bled out? Alternatively, let’s say it was a heart attack in a young man. This can happen but the surgeon (if there was one) should know how to resuscitate such a patient. This is basic stuff! Without an expert making autopsy results known, we can only guess.
If you have thinning and possibly PCOS, treatments like Scalp Micropigmentation works very well to make your hair look fuller: https://scalpmicropigmentation.com/gallery/smp-for-women/
Been on it for 8 days and the last couple of days I noticed my semen is really watery. I have no side effects other than that. I did some research and notice it’s a really common side effect, I’m just wondering if it will keep happening for as long as I take Finasteride or if you have heard of it resolving itself in patients who continue to take it? Thanks for your time!
It usually remains. A few people told me it got less watery, but that is the exception to the rule.
How long do I have to wait to see the benefits of dutasteride and finasteride, both taken daily?
Sometimes these medications don’t work. It takes a full year to see benefits. Taking both dutasteride and finasteride just increases your potential side effects. Twice a week dutasteride is fine by itself. Check with your doctor
Yes, ever since I have been seeing the wonderful results of microneedling on Reddit, I have become a fan of it, especially for the men under 24 years old when hair loss is more easily reversible.
Stopping finasteride after 8 years will create ‘Catch-up Hair Loss” which means that the gains will be lost and the hair you would have lost over the past 8 years might all occur in 3-4 months. Scarry!
I’m a 30 year old guy with diffuse thinning hair. I started to take finasteride about 3 years ago and to be honest I’m not certain if it did anything for me as I didn’t have any regrowth during that time. However I’ve been able to greatly regrow a lot of my hair through microneedling over the last 2 years. I wanted to get your take on wether the hair I regrew with microneedling could be permanent? I reduced my finasteride dosage from 7 mg per week to about 3mg per week about 6 months ago and haven’t lost any ground. Your educated guess? Thank you!
I don’t believe that anyone knows for sure about how long microneedling induced hair will last. I am guessing it will last about one hair cycle (Max) which in a young man could be 3 years.
I performed this surgery on this man with 1800 grafts. Note the picture on the left which is one day after the surgery. Because he washed his hair using our washing technique, he formed no scabs (crusts) on the wounds after the surgery. Note also in the after pictures, that the center forelock which was not transplanted looks like the transplanted corner hairline does with respect to density or fullness
I’m a 26 year old male, 157 lean, healthy diet, active lifestyle.
Many users may not want to hear this, but your lack of side effects may well be your ignorance of them. Finasteride affects your hormones, no argument—that is its entire purpose.
I used it for a year, and it 100% worked! Hairline strengthened, had a full head of hair, and even all grew faster. Body hair reduced as well for an added bonus. I was monitoring any immediate changes in mood/cognitive function/libido but sensed nothing different over the 12 months. This is only because they were so gradual.
I stopped taking it two weeks ago, I feel like I used to in college. It feels like I’ve always had a cup of coffee compared to needing to “wake myself up” before doing anything requiring thought or strength. I’m not sore as long after lifting, and I’ve already gained about 5 pounds of lean mass, as if my body was holding out on me all year. I’m sleeping completely through the night compared to waking up multiple times. I also am constantly horny again.
All these gradual changes I went through, I never noticed or completely rejected because I so badly wanted them to not exist. It worked, but just know you could be a better version of yourself (with less hair) if you hopped off fin.
Ignorance is bliss, however, and beauty is pain. I may start taking it again in the future, but I’m enjoying the DHT right now—it clearly serves a purpose in your body.
When you stop finasteride after getting good results from it, all of the benefits will be lost over a few months and if there was potential progression of the hair loss, you will see that too.
