I would rather suggest that you consider a non-surgical cosmetic treatment called Scalp MicroPigmentation which will address the problems shown with less cost and with almost immediate results. A hair transplant takes almost eight months to see results that will not look as good as the example of the two photos on the right (before and after […]

A 4,000 graft FUE surgery, with lower than normal hair density, will produce a depleted donor area as shown in the photo. The see-through look shown may be with him for the rest of his life. FUE is a terrific procedure but when done in excess quantities, balding in the donor area appears. Scalp MicroPigmentation can […]
This is an unusual scar. You can have it transplanted and then wait it out for a full eight months when you should see 80 per cent of the hairs growing. If you are not happy with it after 10 months, then maybe another transplant might be indicated, depending upon if you feel you have achieved the results […]
Hair distribution reflects judgments made between you and your doctor with your priorities in mind. There are many factors beyond balding patterns that dictate graft placement. These include: (1) hair thickness, (2) hair and scalp color, (3) hair character (wavy or straight), (4) your styling priorities (these can be put into the patterns of hair […]
When your original donor density is lower than average, 3000 grafts can be too many grafts harvested through FUE and this causes donor site depletion such that the donor area has a problem with a see-through look. The doctor should have measured your donor density before pushing large numbers of FUE grafts. For some people […]
Clearly, there are two factors that are critical to determining the value of an FUE graft. (1) the thickness of the hair shaft itself is important as that reflects to weight of each hair shaft as it is viewed. A fine hair is less weight and less value than a coarse hair as shown in […]
When I try to cut my hair in the back short, I see ‘holes’ from the FUE I had done a year ago. There is a trade off between FUE and strip surgery. The large FUE sessions deplete the donor area and give you a see through look like what you have here while a […]
This patient had hair plugs over 25 years ago. We fixed his frontal hairline in 2003 but he still noticed the plugs so he switched to a hair system. Now he wants to get rid of it and I gave him a plan that would do just that. The photo below shows (inside the circles) […]
You had 5500 FUE grafts which is almost certainly too many grafts for your donor supply. You now have donor area depletion which is essentially balding of the donor area because too many grafts were removed from the donor area. This area will not recover. The only treatment for this that could help you hide the […]
I went to Turkey and had about 4,500 grafts. Now I can see that my donor area is see-through. I am now one month since my surgery and I want to know if it is going to get better? You should wait a period of 6 months from the time of your surgery. If it is […]
I am seeing more and more patients with depleted donor areas and thinning/balding in the back of the head where the hair formerly looked normal. This can be avoided in FUE by controlling the number of FUE grafts excised. It can only be treated with Scalp Micropigmentation which we do routinely in our office.
I would like to keep hair forever. But you don’t understand balding in the early 20s. Your choice of women falls greatly. I shaved my head once and got less attention from women. I look better with hair makes me look young because I am. I just want to enjoy life right now and if […]
This man had a forehead lift and was left with a scar that runs ear-to-ear. His scar can be concealed with Scalp MicroPigmentation. A hair transplant would work well to address the frontal recession of his hairline.
This man shows a juvenile hairline that is about a half inch thick at the leading edge of his hairline. The genetics on his hairline is different than the genetics on the rest of his head. The hair behind the juvenile hairline clearly shows male pattern balding to some degree. If he likes to wear his hair short, […]
I saw this post on Reddit.com. It says a lot about hair loss with the shoe on the other foot (woman instead of a man with hair loss). I always tell my patients that balding is not only what is on their head but what is inside their head. For this particular women, it appears […]
