I Don’t Want to Be an Unmarried, Bald Female at 28!
HELP!! I am a 27 y old female and about 2 years ago noticed that my hair was thinning out dramatically. I have always had very thick (or plentiful) hair. I have been on and off anti-deps since 14, but came off everything for months to see if it made a dif and there was no change. i have been on and off the pill too, but was off it again for over 6 months which should have been long enough for hair loss to stop if this was the cause. my thyroid function is normal according to Dr, and hormone levels within normal range, and iron level was low but just on normal range. i have had some other unexplained problems too, but even had a scalp biopsy, which came back as normal too. I’m stuck as to what to do or help. Could it be dietary? candida? bad luck?? No doctors seem that interested in helping and i don’t want to be an unmarried, bald female at 28!! any suggestions would help….
There is no substitute for (1) a good ‘in person’ relationship with (2) a good doctor. You are complex and the problem needs to be looked at by a doctor who can check you out for the many possible causes of your hair loss. Please don’t be your own doctor and do not accept detailed advice over the internet. I wish I could be of more help, but I do not want to point you in a wrong direction.
