Nausea from Propecia
Hi. I took Propecia for 3 months. When taking it I initially had bad headaches and nausea. They went away, however soon I suffered erectile difficulties and decreased libido. At the time, as I wasn’t in a relationship, I figured it was no big deal. Anyhow, after my 3 month supply was done, I decided not to renew. Basically, the sexual side effects got to be a bit disconcerting. So, I’ve been off it now for just over a month yet have not had any improvement in that particular area. I found the website https://www.propeciasideeffects.com and am now quite concerned. I’ve made a doctor’s appointment but was interested in any feedback/help you may offer.
Thanks for your time.
Headache and nausea are not among known side effects of Propecia (finasteride 1mg). You have been off the medication for over a month and are still having problems that you consider to be drug related. It is unlikely that the side effects you are experiencing had to do with Propecia. Bear in mind that these types of side effects could be a placebo effect too, and if this was the case it wouldn’t go away with the clearance of medication from your body. Give it a few more weeks and if you continue to have this problem, then you need to see a doctor for further evaluation.
