I Thought HGH Thickened the Hair?
Hi,
I was just reading the recent questions pertaining to hGH therapy and hairloss. Could you explain the actual reason for the hair loss that occurs while a patient is on hGH therapy. I’m just curious because many physicians who promote hGH for anti-aging say it should thicken the hair in most cases. Perhaps the hairloss is mainly due to the Testosterone therapy that many use in addition to hGH?
It causes hair loss. Also look at the other things that it will do that are not good for you, which is defined well in MedLine Plus’s website: Growth Hormone
I do not want to write a book on pharmacology here. This is one of the master hormones of the body and its influence is massive everywhere.
The above link doesn’t work.
It worked 19 months ago when I posted this. I’ll try to find an updated link.
Okay, i’m a body builder, i know a lot of people that use HGH at a high level, and most use it year round some for 6 months at a time the off for 6 then back on again, none of them have had any problem with hair loss that i can see i know one man that has been using it for more then 6 years doses between 8 iu’s and 10 iu’s a day taking Saturday and Sunday off, so 5 days on 2 off, along with all the pro body builders i see in the mags and on TV, out of all the guys i know that do and have done HGH none have started or has gone bald not one, not saying there is no one but these are all guys, maybe its a side effect that only happens to females and most likely the females have balding in their family’s already, i know that is what it is with steroids yes they can make you have hair lose start and or progress faster if it’s in your genetics, with what i have seen in my life and read, it seems the reason for balding on steroids, and females that do on HGH is because of genetics, if you are not going to go bald with out in in your life time most likely you wont on steroids or HGH
