Hair Transplants for the Crown
i was told by a prominent hair restoration doctor that transplants to the crown area for people like me who have hair in the crown but want more density is not wise because the amount of shedding created by the procedure would be a net loss.only if i had a bald crown would a procedure make sense.by the way i have plenty of donor hair
I believe that you can not make blanket statements like he made. I believe that what he may be thinking is that if there is already hair in the crown, and if you are a young man without a final hair loss pattern evident, that transplants into the crown could accelerate balding (particularly if you are not taking Propecia). A good donor supply is good, but not the complete picture. This is a complex issue and one that must be customized to your situation. A private consultation with a good doctor should link all of the issues to fit into a Master Plan made specifically for your needs.
