Fasting and Propecia Side Effects?
From your medical point of view, if someone had side effects from a year’s worth of Propecia, could fasting help speed up the side effects going away? I’ve read that water fasting or juice fasting accelerates recovery because energy usually spent on digestion is now used for healing and returning the body back to a baseline level.
I don’t advocate fasting and I really don’t know that water or juice fasting would speed up recovery or increase the speed of side effect disappearance. It’s an interesting idea, but to be completely honest, what you are saying makes no sense to me.
I would also imagine that the energy you are trying to save by fasting and not digesting would be counteracted by the fact that there will be no food to give you energy to heal your body
Digestion is the body’s largest burden. We have evolved not only to survive a fast (starvation) but to use this event to its fullest potential. When the body stops receiving food, the body uses the opportunity to handle tasks that it normally cannot do due to the burden of digestion. The energy and resources that normally foucus on breaking down food then focus on breaking down toxins and making vital repairs.
To follow up on my previous comment – I’m now using Rogaine 5% in the front temple area where hair was lost during the fast, and while it’s taking an especially long time, there is noticeable growth all the way down to my natural hairline.
So the Rogaine is growing back the hair lost during the fast, and is definitely working in the frontal hairline.
