Biocapillation
I heard about a procedure called biocapillation. It claims to be able to, in some instances, stop balding (from what I’ve read). What is this procedure, and how effective is it?
I have not heard of this procedure. Based on what I have read from my search on the internet it seems to be a scalp treatment. It is not a medical procedure or medication or surgery. I have also read it can be expensive.
If you want to know what this procedure is about, your guess is as good as mine. You can look up the same stuff I did via a search on Google.
If you want my personal opinion of how effective it is, I cannot tell you because I have not seen anyone or read of any scientificly proven results. It was reported as a miracle cure by a medical group that promotes it. I don’t believe in miracles for hair loss cures. As I have stated numerous times on BaldingBlog, it is a buyer beware market. If you ever decide to try it and it works (or doesn’t work), please let me know with before and after pictures.
Dear Dr. Rassman;
Please allow me to introduce myself – Dr. Jonh Frank, owner of the Anapelli Hair Clinic and home of Biocapillation™. I would like to offer a few comments about Biocapillation. Biocapilation is a process of thorough and dynamic scalp and hair evaluation and treatment. The process involves a comprehensive look at the state of the scalp and the hair, and includes a microscopic follicle evaluation.
DHT is well known to cause miniaturization and subsequent hair loss in many individuals. However, hair loss may also be caused by many other offending agents. Biocapillation not only serves to confirm hair loss from DHT but also looks for other causes.
Another cause of hair loss may be diminished blood circulation to the follicles and this is the proposed mechanism of minoxidil. Biocapillation is also intended to maximize the blood flow to the scalp capillaries
Certainly, medical diseases may cause hair loss and biocapillation may pick up occult medical conditions. Because the follicle is a complex organelle, involving dividing cells, sebaceous secretions, muscle contraction and other microscopic processes, it is imperative to balance and maximize the health of the follicle. This is the objective of biocapillation.
No, biocapillation is not considered a “miracle-cureâ€. I too, would be very suspicious of anything claiming to be miraculous. But there are no miracles here, simply thorough evaluation and treatment based upon a sound understanding of hair loss.
I hope you’ll have a chance to take a look at our website http://www.anapelli.com and feel free to call me directly if you have any questions.
