Can Donor Hair Be Regrown?
I would also like to know whether in the future it would be possible to replant hair follicles in the donor area (that was previously used for an FUE surgery), in order for hair to grow again in the donor area, in other words will it ever be possible for the donor area to grow hair again?
When hair is moved from one place to another, the area that was the donor area will have lost those hairs forever. They do not regrow and can not be stimulated to regrow. If you move them back (I don’t know why anyone would do this), then yes, they will regrow in the original donor area.
The donor area can be replenished when Follica finalizes thier breakthrough. Dr. Mercola and Dr. Phil will part of some Topical stemcell treatment this year. they didn’t say with who, but Dr. Mercola acknowledged the following “Dr. Mercola’s Comments below and his reps stated if he wrote it then it is true. So hang on the end may be near!!!
(On a side note, if you don’t have much hair, like me, then this is not a big deal. But I will start some investigational ADULT stem cell topical therapy soon, and there is a 90 percent chance I will have a full head of hair in one year — so at that time I’ll be paying more attention to my hair care. Dr. Phil starts it this week.)
