Can Finasteride Stop Premature Ejaculation?
I read that taking finasteride can also cure premature ejaculation, seminal leakage and other urine related problem by reducing the size of our prostate. True? please guide.
Not true. There was a rat study I read which claimed that black tea extract could lower DHT and then there was another rat study that claimed brewed black tea could treat premature ejaculation. Someone must’ve drawn a line from those two studies to compare it to the effects of Propecia (finasteride), and I’m guessing that’s where this rumor got started.
I’ve not seen any studies in humans that show premature ejaculation can be cured by taking finasteride.
Finasteride can prevent premature ejaculation since a recorded side effect of the drug is that it can cause problems ejaculating. However, I would rather savor 30 seconds of enjoyment than suffer from an inability to ejaculate entirely.
No evidence exists either mechanistically or through clinical studies that finasteride “cures”, prevents, or improves premature ejaculation – no matter how many circular, odd analogies are given (? Drug X causes problems ejaculation therefore it prevents premature ejaculation?)
LOL, there is nothign circular or analogous about that. Propecia is known to cause ejaculation problems and if you can’t ejaculate you certainly won’t be able to do it prematurely.
Who are you??? You seem to be constantly trawling the blog to quickly respond to specific posts about Propecia within an hour or two. Is there any conflict of interest you are not disclosing when you post these messages with a sense of ‘authority’?
In a separate but related note, it has been demonstrated that finasteride has been successfully prescribed to treat priapism (a condition characterized by constant erections). I certainly wouldn’t suggest anybody take it as such but the results of the study are noteworthy.

The study was interesting but notably a further study suggested it was Finasterides impact as a calcium efflux inhibitor that offered the benefit on priapism. The interesting thing would be to discover the percentage of men actually seeing delayed ejaculation. If it was around the 1-2% reporting all sexual dysfunctions then it would be a very poor choice medically to use as drugs with that success rate generally won’t be considered.
I believe we’d have to see an actual medical study on ejaculation in finasteride patients to assess it fairly.
This man BiotechMD does not seem OK. He looks like man paid by pharmaceutical industry to say wrong infomation about products. Always posting about Propecia defending drug as safe when many people are harmed long term. Who is this guy?
