They say a picture is worth 1000 words, clearly that is the case here. The surgeon’s plan was faulty from the start, transplanting only the first 2 inches of the hairline from an FUE harvest and leaving the area behind it bald. After 8 months, the plan nevertheless failed, because the grafts failed to grow. If the surgery would have succeeded, this poor man would have a bald patch between the transplants and the hair behind it. What the surgeon should have done was either spread out the recipient grafts to cover the entire frontal area that was devoid of hair producing a thinner look, or he should have increased the number of FUE grafts transplanted into the front and top. No person should be left looking like a half finished hair transplant job as this man would have looked like had the surgery succeeded. His doctor was clearly more oblivious to the realities of the transplant technique than this patient believed. Now he has lost about 2000 of his donor follicular units forever (possibly 1/3rd of his supply), and has a failed transplant in the front that he has to live with.
The surgeon who did this hairline lowering procedure with a hair transplant, did not understand many things such as: (1) there must be a transition zone of single hairs in front of the newly created hairline, (2) the hair direction is not radial, but rather follows a discrete direction which was not adhered to here, and (3) there are many two and three hair grafts in the front of the hairline making it clearly Man-made. No hairline should look like this. Unfortunately, too many doctor who don’t understand the process, fail to learn the basics and produce victims who put their trust and their look in the wrong hands.
Interesting with what appears to be a good double blind study. Impressive; however, more subjects are needed for it to become a standard treatment.

This article “reports the hair regrowth-promoting effect of a newly synthesized novel small molecule, IM176OUT05 (IM), which activates stem cell metabolism. IM facilitated stemness induction and maintenance during an induced pluripotent stem cell generation process.” This article appears in the most prestigious journal in the science field so I guess it has merit to it.
More and more research is coming forward which makes this field more exciting almost every day

A world champion Olympic weight lifter told me the same thing that you said. He also told me that the only thing in life he could not control was his hair so we transplanted him. Then, he had it all! He was 28 years old.
Give it more time (a year or so) and then you will not need to ask if it is working
5 Months Fin: Is it working? Too soon to tell? from tressless
It is discouraging. What’s interesting about human attraction and looks is, the most important factors are those you cannot change. Your height. Your hair. Your facial characteristics. Can’t get a date! Turns out being fit working out and being muscular doesn’t actually matter. Dressing nice matters but can’t compensate a lack of something genetically determined. I’m so bummed out how important the genetics code is to be successful in this area
Quality women often focus on what is inside your head not what is on top. Women who are superficial look for a package that may not be what they want when the wrapping is off.
Unfortunately, there is no reference to the use of other supportive therapies by this man. Many people who get such results, use minoxidil and I suspect that he may have done so.
Comment: This man wrote back and told me that he is using finasteride and minoxidil as well as the micro-needling. This is what I would have expected with the combination treatment.
This is an interesting study; however, although I don’t want to be a snob, a proper study should be done from a recognized academic institution that would lend credibility to this study. The link does not show this, but some of the science is there. Using peppermint oil certainly will not hurt you if you try it. I would love to hear some people’s response to their use of it reported back here.
This study proves that peppermint oil is more effective than minoxidil, can you guys tell me why it isn’t? from tressless
When minoxidil either drips down to the eyes and forehead, or gets absorbed, you can get hair where you might not want it. This is a real problem for women who sometimes end up with a beard or mustache from the drug
So i’ve been battling hair loss since i was 16-17 or younger(had a high hairline to start with so didn’t actually know) i’ve been on propecia and mnoxidio for around 3 years now and i have sabora too which i started treating with nizoral recently. I had a problem down there since i was younger cause of my abnormally large member and since fin i have weaker erections so i decided to stop doing fin and change that with prp treatments I’m seeing little hairs all over the hairline but no regrowth so i want to get a fue transplant Btw im nw2-3 cant decide but the men on both my parents side are bald And the hair loss i have is mainly in the hairline area Is there anyone who can advice me what to do? Its really taking a toll on me and my parents will pay for the treatment so i wont have a financial problem Thanks alot in advance your balding little brother.
Doing a hair transplant at your age would be a big mistake because you don’t know what is going to happen to you in a year or so. If you had a hair transplant now, in a year you would likely need another. Then when you did the second one, in a year you might need a third transplant. Do you get it, it never ends until your final hair loss pattern can be documented by a good doctor. Usually I can do it when a man reaches 25-26 years of age and the consider a hair transplant if indicated. An FUE is a hair transplant and I am the first to perform FUE and wrote the original articles on it so I know what I am talking about.
