Changing Finasteride Dosage
Can you please tell me if its problematic as far as hair growth/loss to move the dose of Finasteride around ? Thanks
Your question is not clear but i will try to cover a wide scope in the answer. You can take finasteride anytime during the daytime, but best to keep taking it the same time each day. The dose should be 1mg, such as Propecia. A slightly higher dose of 1.25mg, for those that cut the Proscar pill into quarters, is not a problem. Increasing it to an even higher dose clearly produces more side effects. A dose lower than 1mg is less effective.
I am a woman and have been prescribed a dose of 5mg of finasteride daily for hair loss. It is working, but I am concerned about the high dosage. Since I am not of childbearing age, do I need to be concerned about side effects?
Sir, I am loosing too much hair for the last 4 years after fell seriously ill, since then I have taken a lot of medication from the different doctors but I did n’t get any benefit. Now I am using the Minoxidil 5% for the last 1 year but condition is still same. Now I came to know that there is a medicine called “finasteride” that can stop the hair fall. Is it true?.

A woman should not take Fenasteride drug. It is contraindicated in woman. One can use Minoxidil topical and Fenasteride in oral form once daily. Incase of Minoxidil should take fort.
