Chemical Relaxer Induced Genetic Hair Loss?
Is it possible that a relaxer triggered hereditary hairloss?? I’m concerned because after using a relaxer, my hair has been falling out for about 4 years now and I know it’s been since I used the relaxer.
It sounds likely that you damaged your hair when you used the relaxers, as they are known to cause hair loss. Much of the time these changes are permanent starting on or around the time of the injury. If your hair has been falling out for 4 years, you probably have another cause for it and it should be looked at my a competent doctor who specializes in this area.
Thanks for answering my question.
As I am residing in Australia, and sure you can give me a great advise, which might make my life easier. As I am too stressed about getting bald.
Doc you have mentioned “it should be looked at my a competent doctor who specializes in this area” I am not sure did you advise that I should see a competent doc or see you. The issue is I am here in Aus and I am very much convinced with the kind of info you provide.
Please advise me what should I do, If you need any more info from me such as pictures etc. so you can advise accordingly.
Thanks a lot and keep up the great work.
Thanks.
Could you please advise,
By competent doctor, I meant someone more local… not a tongue-in-cheek way of saying me. See if you can get any referrals by other physicians you trust for a specialist, or even friends/family that may have a name to give you that won’t cause you to fly across the world. :)
