Dissolving Finasteride in Water

l usually cut proscar into quarters, which is simple enough to do. Sometimes l cut them into 5th. Its a bit of a nuisance they way l do it. Basically ‘shaving’ a bit off each quarter with a razor blade.

Im not satisfied with this process. Can you suggest a more effective way?

Is it OK to dissolve the tablet in say 25 mls of water and take 5 mls a day? Store it in the fridge and shake it before taking the daily dose? Or will this damage the drug?

The manufacturer has never made finasteride in solution form. Dissolving the tablet in 25 mls of water and drinking it 5 mls a day may work, but it may not hold its value over time so I can not recommend it. The 1mg dose is the correct dose and I guess that the manufacturer knows the ‘hoops’ you will have to go through to keep some of their profits.
