Finasteride reduces the risk of prostate cancer
This chart shows that the longer an elderly man takes finasteride, the less the risk of prostate cancer over a 20 year time-frame. Like everything in medicine, there are always disputes, but less people die of prostate cancer if they are on finasteride.
