I Have A Lot of DHT
Hey, I have been reading about DHT and how it kills your hair follicles. I’ve always had alot of DHT since I was in 7th grade and now i’m 18. But does having alot of DHT in your body, which is evident physically. Body Hair, oily skin, deep voice, tall, etc. Pretty much what i’m asking since I have alot of DHT, is that if you have alot of DHT, that is evident physically, is it going to increase your chances to lose hair? or does having alot of DHT physically mean nothing? Perhaps because it’s being diverted to your body instead of hair? And my family gets male pattern very early and 1 uncle is bald. And he receded when he was my age and I am not, in fact I have way more hair then all of my uncles. Does that bode well for me? Or do you think i’m in the clear? My hairline has matured because I have matured very early, although it barely changed at all. I’ve also seen alot of men who dont seemingly have alot of DHT, physically, balding or who are bald. Can you please try to answer my questions fully. Do you also know anywhere in the Milwaukee area to get mapped out for miniurization? Much appreciated.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is responsible for the changes that occur around puberty (voice, pubic and underarm hair), beard growth, etc…. DHT is not necessarily bad. It is there for good reason, as it helps us go through adolescence and into adulthood. The only times DHT can cause balding is if you are genetically prone to it. Just because it is in the family, there is no assurance that you will bald. I don’t have any specific suggestions for miniaturization studies in Milwaukee — you might want to check ISHRS for a local physician in your area (call to find out if the doctor performs such mapping).
