I’m Worrying About My Hair Loss And Now I See Hair On My Pillow
Over the last few months I have been worrying about whether I have hair loss. I am an 18 year old male. After stressing out over this, I feel like my hair is getting thinner, especially when I run my fingers through it. I have been noticing a bit more hair over the pillow and in the bathroom. But my parents have said that my hair looks fine. So can I have hair loss, or have started the process of hair loss? And what should I do to treat it?
You should see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis. At 18 years old, there is a possibility that you have genetic hair loss and if that is proven, then appropriate treatments can be taken.
Sometimes you can’t actually see the loss, but you’re still losing hair. A doctor can check your hair bulk to see if you’re thinning.
Definitely see a doctor who does proper bulk measurements. When you obsess you will notice more hair on the pillow but that’s a very bad signifier – everyone sheds hair on their pillow even those with perfect hair. The only way to know is to get a good quality assessment by a doctor who knows what they’re doing. Once I stopped trying to guess my loss and had a surgeon quantify it for me I was a lot less stressed.
I am 35, and I have half as much hair on my head, as I used to have when I was 25. I have come through dozens of doctors and treatments, have taken gallons and pounds of different medications, but the overall result was unstable. My diagnosis is “androgenic alopeciaâ€. One of the doctors I have consulted recommended me Hair Gain Formula. It nurtures hair, but most importantly, it lowers the level of prostaglandin D2, which causes hair loss when elevated. I’ve been taking it for 6 months, and it looks like my hair loss has decreased. The doctor said I should take it for at least 3 years in order to achieve sustainable results but the basic thing for me is to keep positive results.
