Interesting reading. The study of 30 men is small and may not be statistically significant. It would be nice to see a larger study. Remember, that in the large Proscar study done with 15,000 men completing the double blind study, prostate cancer was 25% less. Could this have to do with the enzyme that makes for more DHT?
Makes sense to me, as both ailments are treated with the same drug…To those who suffer from it adversely, DHT is a double whammy, high and low…For some reason, when I first started balding, I just assumed I will be having prostate problems later in life – I hope that’s not the case, but it won’t surprise me…
The link between baldness and enlarged prostate is very interesting. The research definitely would have been more accurate if the study group was larger.
