I have no further insight than the last time I wrote about procyanidin B-2. That does not necessarily mean nothing has happened with it, but any new information hasn’t been brought to my attention. For those that want to read my past blog entries about procyanidin, see here. If anyone has any new information, please […]

I am aware of Procyanidin B-2 from Apple Poly and I personally inquired with the company a year or so ago for more information. There were a few journal articles published that seemed promising, but that is about the extent of it. My old adage of “buyer beware” still stands, but I am also open […]
I do not see potential harm by exploiting all of these options. The procyanidins have been discussed on this site before (see search results). For those of you who do not know what this is, please review Applypoly.com. Keep in mind, I’m not suggesting you order this stuff (yes, I realize it is for sale […]
It is one thing to be a physician and another to be a researcher. It takes lots of money, time and logistic effort to conduct even a simple study, let alone a good, reputable study with many patients enrolled. While it is true that I am interested in research and science, I do not have […]
I was as impressed with the scientific papers as you were, but I do not know anything more than what is referenced here — Do Apples Help Hair Growth? Hairsite – Where to buy apple polyphenols or procyanidin B2?

The problem, of course, is that if it works you have no clue to which of the […]
There appears to be a complete listing here: HairSite – Where to buy apple polyphenols or procyanidin B2?
I found the following forum thread that lists sources for Procyanidin: Hairsite.com – Where to buy apple polyphenols or procyanidin B2? I don’t have any experience with these products, but please let me know if any of them help.
There is no documented research on comparison of the topical vs. oral use of polyphenols that I know of. Most research on polyphenols, particularly on procyanidin and hair growth in humans and animals, is done on the topical procyanidin rather than the oral pill.
I appreciate that you brought this to my attention. Very interesting stuff. I decided to research this a little further and found Procyanidin B-2, extracted from apples, promotes hair growth: a laboratory study, originally published in the British Journal of Dermatology in 2002. The articles speak to the relationship between apples and Procyanidin B-2, extracted […]
