Is It Ever Too Late to Start Propecia and Minoxidil?
I am 36, have been balding since 21 and now seem to have a pretty full head full of hairs in the advanced miniaturization, with some hairs in the moderate miniaturization phase. Not a lot of normal hairs at all.
Area of balding pretty much covers the entire area; T1, T2 = Temples
F1, F2 = Frontal
M = Middle
V = VertexWhen is it considered too late to start a regimine of Propecia/ Minoxidil? Can these miniaturized hairs be saved, or is it already too late? In the past, have used minoxidil with some results, with the middle and vertex becoming much less visible. More pigment, thicker hairs, but threw in the towel after a year.
It is never too late. I like the fact that you now have a baseline measurement to know what these medications will do if you start them again. Go for it!
Thanks for your comments. Very much appreciate them.
Have just picked up some proscar (it is really cheap here – living in China, only about 20 cents per day) Since early February I have been using Minoxidil twice daily, with revivogen late at night where time permits. Am already seeing some results after a couple of months! Plenty of fuzz appearing with some thicker looking hairs. Excited to see what the results will be like in the longer term. Only regret is that I did not start this regimen earlier.
By the way, what is the likelihood of miniaturized hairs returning to their original size and colour? Also using T-Gel & Revivogen shampoo. Is there anything else that should be thrown into the mix to speed up and improve results/ regrowth?
Your website and feedback is really fantastic! Feels great to face up to the fact that baldness is an emotionally challenging issue and to take some active steps to combat it…
