John Travolta’s Real Hairline Finally Revealed?
You called it, doc! John Travolta was on vacation without his piece!
Link: E! News
John Travolta was in Hawaii celebrating his birthday and the paparazzi caught him in what appears to be his natural balding state. One of Hollywood’s worst kept secrets, I’m not sure that I can or want to take credit for calling it. In fact, there was a photo taken years ago of what was likely his real hairline, so I don’t know why the entertainment reporters are making a big deal out of this. And we did point out the hairpiece years before that. At any rate, I got a few emails about this “late-breaking” news already, some of which sent a variety of photos. Here’s one:
Dr. Rassmann I know this is posted because of the “hair Geeks” that visit your site.
But I have to chime in on this.
1- Actors have been wearing hair pieces forever (Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Burt Reynolds, John Wayne) and the list goes on
2- In the 70s when Jack Nicholson did almost nothing to hide his hair loss the critics commended him and said he was a “real actor” And he is still considered one of the greatest American actors of all time.
3- Hollywood seems to have this obsession with perfection that goes way beyond normal
if you were to go to the movies today you would think MPB was already cured as only the older actors and villains seem to experience it.
4- Travolta did not wear one in The Taking of Pelham 123 and he looked very cool.
5- And this is the big one he lost his son two years ago and now has just had a new child
I think it is crude for the media and press to pursue his hair issues.
That said I will still use my meds and hope for a cure and visit your site daily because you do provide good unbiased information on hair loss. So keep working on that Acell project.
I was also going to mention that John Travolta didn’t wear his hair piece in “Taking of Pelham 123” and I think I’ve seen him with a shaved head in another movie too. So it’s not really a secret. I didn’t know he wore a hair piece for years, but once I realized he wore one, it started to look really fake to me, even though with all that money you would think he could have something undetectable.
It should be noted, however, that along with blogs posting this “news” item, the consensus of articles/commentators seemed to be more, “We suspected you’ve been wearing a piece, and you should just ditch that thing already, and go au naturel,” which is a more encouraging reaction than people just being simply snarky and mean-spirited about it.
