My Doctor Just Told Me to Use Rogaine If I Was Concerned
I went to my Dermatologist because i was concerned about my recent hair loss. He told me i didnt look too bad and to use rogaine if I was concerned. I have been using it for a month and I know thats too soon to tell but from everything i have read it does not work on the hairline above the temples and that is where the hairloss is visible. i may have so slight thinning at the crown but it is not visible.
i am a 27 year old male and began to notice visible hair loss above the temples about 5-6 months ago. Should I consider using propecia? Do you need pictures?
Propecia (finasteride) might be a possibility, but without seeing you I can’t make that recommendation. It’s a prescription medication and one of the two hair loss medications approved by the FDA. You’re not guaranteed to regrow your hairline with Propecia, but hopefully it could slow the loss. The earlier you start the medication into your hair loss process, the better.
Rogaine (minoxidil) is the other FDA approved hair loss medication, but regrowth at the hairline/temples isn’t a sure thing with that one either. It is available over-the-counter without a prescription, so perhaps your doctor didn’t want to prescribe you any medication (so he just told you to use Rogaine)… or maybe he just doesn’t know much about treating hair loss. In any case, if you feel that your doctor was dismissive and didn’t give you full consideration, you might consider seeing another doctor.
Hair transplant doctors are a good source for hair loss info since they specialize in the field, as opposed to general dermatologists. Just don’t get pressured into having a surgery. You can find a transplant doctor in your area using the physician search at ISHRS.org. Or if you’d like to send us photos and setup a phone consultation, our email address is on the contact page.
Good evening every one:
My name is Youness 32 years old Originally from Spain , i m bringing my experience in Hair Transplant With NU Hart (tell 2010-2011 Nu Hart had Clinique in Malaga ;Spain), and looking for help to my case:
As everyone in this blog I start having my hair problems when I was 20 years old, my hair start to fall down every time more; then I tried to use deferent methods to stop it ( I start with Vichy ,Minoxidil, Propecia….etc)but without to much effect, my point is not to discourage the people who are trying to stop the hair loss cause it work in each person differently, so it may work for people who prevent it on time. In my case it was no progress, then at my age of 29 I decide to make the famous hair Transplant so I was looking for different options or clinics, I was comparing many things as price, reliability, recommendations, doctors info…..etc
Well her start my adventure with Nu hart, I contact them in them through official website http://www.nuhart.com November 2009 and explain my problem in details and my desire to make procedure with them cause I trust they was good clinic, same week Nuhart agent from the Spanish division take contact with me to explain, the process, the details and the payment as you can see in this email from: salvar@nuhart.com

Hi
I have looked at your photos and the really good news is that your donor area looks very healthy and you should have no problem of supply. You have lost considerable amount of hair and it looks like some of the existing hair on top is getting fine.
You will need a 3.000 graft session to get good results, reconstructing the hairline is the area that takes most of the grafts and the rest can then be distributed. You are looking at 5.000 Euros for 3.000 grafts but if you make your reservation in November we have a promotion on 3.900 Euros for the whole 3.000-graft session. You can have the surgery in December or January but you need to make the reservation in November.
Please let me know if I can assist any further or if you want to look at dates for recovering your hair. You can call me on (0034) 952 04 04 44.
Best regards
Salvar
I reserve the place in November and the process was made in December/ January I paid all the amount before the process. instead of fixing my hair loss They made a disaster in my head, and before the surgery they insure me that the scar they will make in back side of my head for the transplant will disappear after 1 year or 18 months, then I will have small scar wich I will not see as all.
The result was disaster, instead to implant me 3000 graft, they only put 700 or 800 graft and also I got big scar in my head paying 4000€ for it (without any control after surgery to check my post-surgery progress) after 2 years my hair have no changes and I get new problem paying (the scar in my back side head)
This year I did contact the Nuhart to ask for fixing the mess they made in my head and the extra problem I get from the surgery (the scar) and the reaction was an Absolut negation of the problem, the answer was that I have to contact the people made the operation for me and fix my problems with them just like I contract clandestine clinic …. I feel to disappointed that companies like this can’t assume the responsibility and fixe the mistake they made.
I hope that people don’t have any confidence in this company and have the insurance that they get the perfect solution to them problem.
I can prove all this with my own pictures.
