You have to give it between 12-18 months to see if it will reverse. Add topical minoxidil along with microneedling and you have a better chance of reversal
What do I do, How do I start?
You need a good doctor and anything short of an experienced doctor to help you manage your hair loss is a mistake you will take with you every year you get older. Regrets are when you don’t do the right thing and lose your hairy look when maybe you don’t have to. At your age, your’e in trouble as anyone can see. With this much hair loss at your age, you may be heading to a very bald man. Have you thought about it?
No, once it is removed, it is gone forever. That is why I talk about the donor bank as a bank that only allows withdrawals, never deposits.
Dr. Rassman PLEASE help, I was planning on sticking with fin but this morning after taking fin I had the worst brain fog and memory problems I’ve ever had. I’m working on becoming an MD so I have a lot to read and yet I couldn’t read, or focus on anything. I have an extremely careful diet and exercises regularly and this has never happened. I think I’m going to stop using fin but the brain fog won’t leave and it’s been over 15 hours. What do I do? Is there blood work that would help?
Stopping the finasteride is critical here. It may take a few weeks for the brain fog to go away. It stays in your body’s tissues for a few weeks, lessening each week until it is gone within about a month or less. You should have a doctor managing this problem for you. I can’t be that doctor over the internet.
There may be a suggestion of hair loss in the crown, but what about elsewhere, hair loss that you can’t see. You can lose hair up to 50% and not see the loss, but then if you start treatment after the 50% loss, what you lost may be gone for good. Get on top of it, get a HAIRCHECK test (https://baldingblog.com/haircheck-test-how-it-is-done-video/) and if you have say 25% loss elsewhere, you can start treatment early with a good doctor who understands the idea of a Personalized Mater Plan for you as you age and lose more hair.
Low ferritin or low iron can cause hair loss and is a common finding in women. A low iron level needs to be treated.
Is hair miniaturization a sure sign of male pattern baldness? Is there any other possible causes of hair miniaturization on the hairline and all over the head or is mpb the only thing to cause these symptoms
Miniaturization is the stage that the hair shafts go through as they are progressively lost with genetic balding. They often get thinner and thinner and eventually shorter and stop growing before falling out and never returning. That is the most common scenario for hair loss.
Changes in the hairline can be seen here on the chart from my publication on page 318 (https://newhair.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/phenotype-article-published.pdf). You can see that hairlines change with age and this chart shows the various stages that hairlines go though
Erectile dysfunction haven’t had a hard erection in a while Quite harsh brain fog and forgetfulness Diminished libido Trouble sleeping Watery semen Insomnia Quite difficult blurred vision. At the moment I think I’ve had a problem with my hormones in my body and they’re all out of wack but need ti get my blood tested. What’s the longest recovery time for the side you’ve observed?
If these symptoms are the cause of the drug finasteride, you shouldn’t be on it. They usually go away in 1-3 months.

Normally how long does it take for the anti-androgens to push all the telogen hairs out and replace them with anagen hairs with a bigger diameter, thicker, denser, which is what the increased shedding phase boils down to being afraid. My mother’s a dermatologist and told me to wait for 6 weeks for it to stop and if it takes longer than that and the shedding doesn’t stop then it’s abnormal and I should try another drug
Ignore the shedding with finasteride because it eventually goes away and the benefits then come on. Sometimes the shedding is not shedding but a rapid genetic hair loss being expressed and in that situation drugs like finasteride work to slow or stop the loss
