When stopping finasteride then the effects may last 3 weeks before you start seeing ‘catch-up hair loss’. Call your doctor’s office and they should renew the medication for you. The US postal service is working during the crisis and the pharmacies can mail it to you.

This question is a moving target tied to instrumentation issues. Some doctors have done a) half FUE and b) half strip and measured growth differences and there were none. There are certain patients that FUE will cause damage, that group is a subset of those I called Fox negative patients in my original article. This group of Fox negative patients has contracted to a smaller number because of better and better instrumentation that has developed over the years. In that small sub-set of patients, there is no doubt that FUE is an inferior surgery and that sub-group, unfortunately, can’t be identified in advance, so each individual takes some risk that they may be in this sub-group when they elect to get FUE. Maybe this sub-group is 5% of all FUE patients, maybe less, but for them it is 100% less quality surgery because there is more damage to the grafts during harvesting. This presents the problem as if it is black and white, but there are gray areas in this sub-group that may make the sub-group larger than 5%. The strip doesn’t have that risk.

The number of grafts to cover the crown depends upon the thickness of your hair (fine, medium or coarse). As the balding area includes the swirl where the hair changes direction, it often takes more grafts to recreate it. I would guess between 1500 grafts (for coarse hair) and 2500 (for fine hair).
I have psoriasis on my scalp. Do you think it is safe to microneedle? I don’t have psoriasis on my hairline, where i would do most of the microneedling (NW3 now). I’m very inclined to start microneedling, but afraid it might result in new psoriasis spots. Also, how about FUE? I read it might be problematic for psoriasis. Currently torn between the 2 options.
I wouldn’t recommend that you do it, considering the Psoriasis, because of the risks associated with repeated trauma for you can make your psoriasis worse. I have done hair transplant (FUE included) on people with psoriasis and provided that it was not in the recipient area– it was not a problem.
I’m currently in a foreign country and I got robbed of my bag which contained all of my finasteride. I won’t have access to it for another 4 weeks. What should I do? After about three weeks, the finasteride tissue levels significantly reduce and the ‘catch-up hair loss’ may start. Get someone to mail you a few pills to get you over the hump.
So I am thinning fast on only one side of my head, a direct line in the middle of my head from the back of my neck to my forehead separates normal hair to thinning short hair, it’s actually messed up. I am 21 and have had nice thick hair my whole life until I noticed this last year. There is no stimulation or feeling when I massage my scalp on the one side of my head, that side just feels like its barely staying alive lol. I went out and bought, nizoral shampoo and castor oil today and even just rubbing the castor oil mixture in there were tons of hairs covering my hand like im shedding (Again only on that one side of my head) nothing falls out on the other side when I message it. I want to know if ANY of you have seen any positive results from Minoxidi or rogaine. I’m not desperate enough to get my doctor to give me Fin I personally like my hair but due to the fact I need my dick to work and so does my girlfriend the side effects threw me off.

So im almost 11 months on fin,And my hair changed sooooo much , thining all over and actually getting quite big bald spot in the crown. I did buzzcut , and thank god my gf dosent hate it. Few days ago i went to one of the top dermatologist in my country to advice me what to do next. I explained to him that fin failed , and i keep losing alot . I suggest moving to dut and he warn me about it.
As I develop a relationship with my patients and if after my relationship shows that finasteride is not working, I may add dutasteride; however, as I develop a Personalized Master Plan with my patients, I fit the results of the drug into that plan and then work with the patient addressing each successive step.
This should tell you something about the surgeons you selected. It is ABSOLUTELY IMPROPER. Another option is to write to the Medical Board of New York who will investigate them. I am sure what they did is not legal, even more so with the Carona Virus epidemic.

Him: There a huge missleading about the fda reaserch. They mention that the the peak of the result were on 2 years mark. But those ppl kept improving since day one up to 2 years. Its not like after 1 year the regrowth start to accure. After 1 hair cycle u should see some results if u respond with regrowth.
My opinion is:
- finasteride may reverse hair loss (rare)
- finasteride may slow hair loss down (common)
- finasteride may stop hair loss (common but you don’t know this unless you stop the drug)
Just look at the distances. This is why it is important to keep away from other people if you want to avoid catching the Carona Virus. The last photo is from a video showing what happens in a super market where one shopper coughs and another is caught up in the droplets spread after a single cough in just seconds. In the stagnant air of an indoor market, virus particles spread very easily in the hair if someone is infected coughing.
First pictures was when he started the minoxidil, the second picture was one week later and the third picture was 3 months after he started using minoxidil. Photography has lots of problems with it mostly because it is subjective, depends upon views and lighting, length of hair where small increases in length make a big difference. Defined hair counts with tattoo placement to guarantee that the same field would be examined to have value. Also objective studies like the HAIRCHECK would convince me but it doesn’t seem to be a driving force for investigators.
