That’s great for you! I am publishing your comments since you claim the LaserComb had value and I believe that sharing your experience with others is important. I wish I would receive more such positive comments about this type of technology and maybe your “insightful” note will get others to write about their experiences. I […]

I have seen the original study and I have published my opinions on the matter: HairMax LaserComb Receives FDA Approval? Why Are You Suspicious of the FDA and the LaserComb Now? Analyzing the Results of the HairMax Laser Comb I tend to agree with your astute observations and criticism. This is a subject that I […]
Your email raises good questions that haven’t been asked here before, but I wish I had answers for you. Any answers to your questions would not have the proper data that can be depended upon. I would suspect that the amount of time exposed to the LLLT is not sufficient for the problems you are […]
I am impressed that you are seeing some growth and surprised about the shed you discussed. If you’re seeing growth at all, that absolutely should be considered positive. As to whether those hairs will get thicker, I couldn’t say. A man your age should be on Propecia (finasteride 1mg), as that will be the very […]
Good for you! Thanks for sharing this. You do agree that the results are sometimes disappointing compared to the advertisement, but I have seen many patients achieving similar results with Propecia alone, particularly in men under 27 years old. I can’t display the video on this page since he’s disabled the ability to embed the […]
While I believe it is safe to use a LaserComb after a hair transplant surgery, I do not necessarily recommend its use.
It won’t hurt, but it probably won’t help. Get a proper evaluation before you treat yourself. I see many flap procedure patients and have helped many of them. The changes that the laser comb will possibly bring you is like playing the lottery — in other words, it’s a huge gamble and probably not worth […]
I see no problem with Rogaine and using the LaserComb, but I doubt that the laser will bring much value. Minoxidil might help and may add value if used with Propecia (if you do have male pattern baldness). With regard to the LaserComb, I really don’t believe the results that are claimed.
I do not know the answer to that question. My personal opinion is that it probably will not thicken hair.
Any time you want to see results of anything that you use for hair growth, it takes a good 8 months of treatment to see the results. I know that the people who manufacture this product suggest that you get results in 90 days, but that claim is what I find unbelievable, not that there […]
I am not sure if you are stating that you are seeing a benefit, even though your hair is falling out. If it is working for you, I am happy for you. If you can achieve the same (or better) thickening result from a product like Toppik, wouldn’t that be a cheaper solution? I know […]
I’m still getting emails requesting more information and insights about the HairMax LaserComb, but unfortunately, I really have nothing more to add to what I’ve already said about it in the past (see various posts here). I scoured the depths of the interweb for more to give you, and came up with 2 new links: […]
I’m still getting inquiries about the LaserComb, and there’s really not much else left to say about it at this point, but I did find some new links worth sharing: Overview on technology blog Gizmodo — Hands On with the HairMax Laser Comb Parody from The Onion — FDA Approves Laser Comb Reasonable assessment on […]
To answer to your question, I need to explain a bit about medical research, which could be found behind almost any new treatment modality in medicine. Any new drug needs to go through different phases of testing before becoming approved for use in humans. The LaserComb did not go through such testing, but rather got […]
As I understand it, the LaserComb was not approved for effectiveness, but was approved based on a predicate device which they showed was similar. The Merck studies are extensive drug studies, which show statistical value in hair growth and hair retention. You can review the Merck data, which is all over the internet. You are […]
