Tinnitus is a known side effect of finasteride. Stop the medication and hopefully, this will go away. See your doctor
This young man’s hairline almost comes down to his eyebrows. This is highly unusual, but he must be very young (under 16 I would guess). He can expect this low hairline to go away as he gets older.

This man lost hair to the side and around his forelock, a very common pattern for hair loss. The forelocks have a different genetic code and often hold as the hair around it is lost as in this man. The combined finasteride and minoxidil seems to restore the hair around the forelock.

No, finasteride will not stop your growth. Our bodies continue to grow and change, even those in their 90s. New cells are replacing old cells. The human body is very dynamic.
There are excellent studies done by Merck that show that 1mg is as good as 10 or 20 mgs finasteride daily. Although the high dose probably is not causing side effects here, I suspect that he is unaware that 30 mgs daily of finasteride is as good a 1mg daily. Someone should tell him
You’ve said SSRIs can cause telegen affluvium. But do all men with Male pattern baldness who take SSRI get Telegen affluvium? And is it rare? What is the percentage that develop TE?
Hair loss is just known as a side effect of many SSRIs. Taking SSRIs doesn’t mean that you will develop a telogen effluvium. FYI: Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) are a series of drugs that include:

I guess the title says it all but here’s some context: i had to quit finasteride 6+ months ago due to sexual sides. Th past month or 2 i’ve been losing a lot of hair again, and my libido is (at the same rate) slowly coming back fortunately. I was just wondering, is it possible to see if something is new growth or if its miniaturized hair? I’m not on any treatment as for now so i reckon its miniaturization.
The photos are incomplete; however, you have a small widow’s peak and the thinning is appearing in the corner of what seems like a remnant of your juvenile hairline. Better photos would help. Send a frontal view with your hair pulled back and your eyebrows lifted high so that the creases on the forehead show up. That’s pretty cool that I have that many grafts available! I assumed it’d be very rare for most people to even have 7,000 grafts available let alone 8,000. Are those numbers affected depending on if I were to choose FUT or FUE (I know I’ve read that FUE effects donor density much more than FUT)? (Previous post: https://baldingblog.com/estimating-lifetime-donor-supply/). Do all good doctors use the same formula as you? Also, just out of interests how are you so accurately able estimate the hair density and # of grafts of the entire donor just from assessing one high-powered, magnified image of small section of the donor area? Is it because the hair (density, caliber etc) is uniform throughout the donor (provided there’s no Dupa or miniaturization present)?
FUT stretches the entire scalp (minus the width of the scar), while FUE doesn’t stretch the scalp. I have had patients who received between 9,000 and 11,000 grafts with strip surgeries in the days before FUE. I have seen some people whose scalp would not stretch, and they end up with more scarring with the strip procedure. Of course, overharvesting is a real problem with FUE. The surgeon must always keep an eye on the ‘residual donor supply’ as he/she continues to harvest more FUE grafts over time.
Most good doctors will take a few views from different parts of the donor area and then average the numbers into a total view of the donor area. As one more laterally, the densities often drop off.
