At the half dose the drug is 80% as effective when compared to the 1mg dose, but your results are good. Stepping the dose up might help more
No, the hair just doesn’t grow back starting another cycle. I have seen many developing mature hairlines and I don’t remember ever seeing miniaturization

Before and after 1.5 years using fianstride. The before picture must have been taken after the finasteride was started as you can see the new growth coming in in the right corner. His hairline appears to have returned to normal 
2 months on finasteride and minoxidil and the photos say it all about his sensitivity to this drug combination. Very nice early results that are encouraging!
This is an expensive process in which each individual hair or group of hairs is attached to a synthetic hair (or more). Then, as the natural hair grows out, these weaved hairs move further and further away from the scalp, so to manage this problem (100% of people have this problem), these attachments are moved down the hair shafts to bring them closer to the scalp. Hair grows at a rate of 1/2 inch per month, so this adjustment must be made at least once a month or even more frequently. The second problem that these individual hair weaves bring, is traction alopecia (loss of the hairs that these weaves are attached to), so the person who utilizes this modality will find that they have less and less natural hair over time, leading to significant balding in a matter of years. The short-term satisfaction that the person gets from this thickening process is significantly offset by future hair loss.
I have some criticisms: (1) the crusting should have been washed off immediately after the surgery so that you are normal looking, and (2) the harvest was extended beyond the permanent zone of the donor area, something that should not be done.
i get pretty bad hypertrichosis from minoxidil , I am planning to do laser hair removal . But this costs a lot and i will keep taking the minoxidil / oral minox. So will the unwanted body hiar come back after laser removal if i keep taking minox?
Laser hair removal is not a single session treatment as hair have to be caught in their anagen cycle. Body hair often has very short anagen cycles so the kill rate for hair is 50% at best at any one time, then 50% of what is left on the second session and then 50% of what is left on the third session so by the end of the third session, do the math, 12.5% of the hair will still remain even if the laser hair removal is 100% effective for each treatment which rarely happens.
Stopping the minoxidil should stop the hypertrichosis. much easier than the laser
There are no test that will predict the risks of sexual side effects when taking finasteride
Good early results from 18 weeks using dutasteride. I expect more reversal over the end of a years use. Dutasteride blocks the enzyme 5 alpha reductase by competing with it at the hair receptor sites and it is 80-85% effective, while finasteride is 70% effective. The problem with dutasteride, because it is more effective is (a) it is not FDA approved for hair loss as a safety matter and (2) there are probably more side effects because dutasteride being more effective.
