Removing a Cowlick in the Hairline?
I am 19 years old and am interested in the surgery your company offers for hairlines. My father recently had a follicle hair transplant done and he was greatly satisfied with the results. He chose to have this transplant done due to balding. My case is different however.
I have a cowlick in the center of my hairline which is wierd and I hate it. I am interested in a transplant that could fix this hairline issue and possibly get rid of my cowlick structure. Is this possible? I must also add that I am only 18 years of age. What would be the average cost for such a procedure that I am requesting? Is there another type of surgery that could fix this issue? (such as brow lift, or etc)?
These cowlicks are interesting and I have always personally liked their look, but many of the men who have it might not agree with me. If you want to remove it, there are some options including laser hair removal and follicular unit extraction (FUE). I would be reluctant to do this surgically on a 19 year old without your parents involved in this decision.
As a side issue, transplanting into a cowlick to restore it, does present interesting challenges.
Hello, I also have cowlicks which is a real pain. I heard about several methods to get rid of them like electrolysis and so on. Having thick (Asian) hair electrolysis would definitely not be the right thing to do. Can surgery help me? Is it possible to cut out a thin strip of skin from the scalp and stitch the whole thing together so as to
1) remove the part of the scalp where there’s no hair (because it spreads in all directions from that particular spot) by bringing the two sides of the “hole” together?
2) eliminate less annoying cowlicks in other places?
What is the price I should expect for such a thing?
Thanks
Im in the United Sates Army and apperance is everything to a soldier. I have a problem cowlick at the front of my hairline on my right side. I have delt with it my whole life and i hate it. Im not allowed any gels or hair spray because im in the 1st Infantry Division, and seeing as how im constantly in the field sweating those styling products would pose a problem, because they run down into your eyes. I have to translate and communicate with hundreds of rople not always wearing a beret or helmet and its quite self-conscience when your hair sticks straight up on oneside of your head like al-falfa. I desperatley want to try a (FUE) to correct this problem cowlick. Money is not an issue just time because im gone quite a bit. Please inform me of the price of such a procedure and recovery time. Thank you
