Success Story — Finasteride and Minoxidil Worked!
Here’s some positive feedback:
I’m 28, been losing hair since I was 22. I started out taking herbal supplements (saw palmetto, stinging nettles, etc.) and I feel they did work to a degree. The hair loss slowed a little, but not enough to keep me satisfied. I tried Revivogen during this time but wasn’t satisfied at all.
A year and a half ago I met with a great hair loss doctor near Toronto. He immediately dismissed me as a candidate for surgery, which I find refreshing. It shows he isn’t just after a quick dollar and actually cares about his patients.
He started me on Proscar (1mg/day) and I’ve seen AMAZING results. Six months ago I started adding Minoxidil formula at night (6% I believe) and now I’m seeing a lot of new growth. My hair looks fuller and more natural, too.
My expectations are pretty reasonable. I know I’ll never have the same head of hair I did 10 years ago, but for a guy pushing 30 I’m doing alright. I’m 100% satisfied with the results I’ve had. It seems that if you catch it early enough and are dedicated to your Dr.’s plan, most people can stop hair loss.
Have faith, gents.

I’m glad you’re seeing amazing results! It just goes to show that surgery is not always the answer to treating hair loss. Congratulations!
hey…
can anyone send me a scientific article abt combining minoxidil and finasteride in the treatment of Alopecia?
I’m doing a thesis on ALopecia and i really need this information
10x
THanks to the guy who wrote his experience from age 22
to 30. Im 34 started losing hair around 25 because I use to take exstacy. the key to keep from going bald is
avoid stress, hot body temperature, and finesteride…5 mg pill works wonders.ProScar..but now Im 34 Ive never takin minoxidil but i think i may add it to my repetoire. my hair is really thin..i think i will apply minoxidil to the scalp and temple areas and front and ill check my crown and see if i want to apply some there . minoxidil reallly drys out your skin so be forewarned.
Also if you have irritable bowl syndrome which many men do…you should start a regimen to cure it because the stree from IBS effects your DHT levels and thus hair loss.
I am a 66 year old Asian male. From age 60 I started losing a lot of hair. My scalp was clearly visible through my thinning hair.I knew that in a years time only that typical semicircular ring of hair will be left at the back and sides. My family doctor started me on 1.25mg Finasteride( sold as Finast5mg in India, this was carefully cut into 4 pieces). I had 1 piece every morning. Along with this I was asked to take the following. 1 becosule Z (b complex with zinc),1000 mg celin( vitamin C ),5 7seas codliver oil capsules,1 capsule Antoxid( antioxodant). Apart from this I had machined my hair very short so that I could massage and brush my scalp easily so as to improve blood circulation.Every morning and before sleeping at night I applied Mintop 2% after a vigorous brushing and massage session.( mintop is the Indian equivalent of minox).Within 2 months I noticed a big difference, I noticed new hair sprouting all over. Hair which had turned limp and become very fine started looking thicker and healthier. Today a little over 2 years since I started with this magic formula, I have regained nearly 95% of my lost hair and each individual hair is thick, strong and healthy. This combination has really worked for me.My hair looks as thick as it was when I was in my thirties.I had read about certain frightening side effects, fortunately for me there were ZERO side effects.
Thanks for the info guys, I’m skeptical about taking anything to treat my baldness. I really fear the ‘mentioned’ side affects of the drugs, loss of libido, weight gain, etc
I’m going to give it a go based on your views.
Grow well gents!
;)
I am going to give it a try…..
can i apply oil while using minoxidil..?
Minoxidil does work
Hi guys, I’m 37 with a nw1 and started using minoxidil 5 morning and night. After week 6 I could feel 100’s of little hair prickles all The top and front of my head. Now it’s been 11 weeks and those hairs now longer and im now feeling many more new little hair prickles sprouting through. This stuff really works. At this rate I actually can see and believe I will have pretty much have the same density as when I was 25. They say this stuff can take between 4-6 months. Has anyone out there had such an early response to minoxidil as I have? Would love some feed back on this.? And I have not experienced any shedding.
