What Happens If Propecia Doesn’t Keep The Same Effectiveness Forever?
Hello Doc,
I’m currently taking propecia (about 3months now), and assuming it works it should maintain my hair, currently nw class 3v. Let’s say I get hair transplant and it turns out that the results are wonderful, but what if the propecia begins to lose effectiveness. The transplanted hair will continue to grow, but what happens when the rest of the hair begins to fall out? or will propecia work for the rest of my life, and keep my hair?
Thanks
Propecia (finasteride 1mg) will work for as along as you take it, but the key is whether your hair loss progresses even while on the drug. Even if you keep progressing with hair loss while you are taking Propecia, the progression will be slower than if you did not take it at all. If you lose hair behind the transplants, then you might have to add some hair in the gap between the transplants and the original remaining hair.
