When minoxidil either drips down to the eyes and forehead, or gets absorbed, you can get hair where you might not want it. This is a real problem for women who sometimes end up with a beard or mustache from the drug
So i’ve been battling hair loss since i was 16-17 or younger(had a high hairline to start with so didn’t actually know) i’ve been on propecia and mnoxidio for around 3 years now and i have sabora too which i started treating with nizoral recently. I had a problem down there since i was younger cause of my abnormally large member and since fin i have weaker erections so i decided to stop doing fin and change that with prp treatments I’m seeing little hairs all over the hairline but no regrowth so i want to get a fue transplant Btw im nw2-3 cant decide but the men on both my parents side are bald And the hair loss i have is mainly in the hairline area Is there anyone who can advice me what to do? Its really taking a toll on me and my parents will pay for the treatment so i wont have a financial problem Thanks alot in advance your balding little brother.
Doing a hair transplant at your age would be a big mistake because you don’t know what is going to happen to you in a year or so. If you had a hair transplant now, in a year you would likely need another. Then when you did the second one, in a year you might need a third transplant. Do you get it, it never ends until your final hair loss pattern can be documented by a good doctor. Usually I can do it when a man reaches 25-26 years of age and the consider a hair transplant if indicated. An FUE is a hair transplant and I am the first to perform FUE and wrote the original articles on it so I know what I am talking about.
According to the attached article from Harvard Health (thanks for the reference) and a group of Australian doctors who studied two groups of about 1400 men, they found that men with bald spots at the top of their heads (vertex baldness) were one and a half times more likely to have prostate cancer than those without bald spots. As an aside, we have also known from other studied that men who have vertex (crown balding) have a higher risk of heart disease and chances of dying of a heart attack. So what does this tell us? If you have Crown balding, be careful to check your heart and your prostate.

Ive been using minox 5% once everyday for about 3 weeks now. Since about 5 days, I am feeling breathless and feel like no matter how much I inhale my lungs never feel full. Can this be caused due to Minox? Please advice! Edit: Iv’e asked my doctor and he says that its not due to minox.
When minoxidil is absorbed into your body through your skin, then it can cause low blood pressure and many of the symptoms that you are talking about. It can also be an anxiety attack. Stop the drug and if they go away, then it may be the drug
Isn’t high testosterone related with a higher risk of balding? I’ve had a lot of blood tests+ urine tests these last couple of months (bone problems) and they found out I have low testosterone for my age. I’ve also been shedding for the past ~10 months. So is something weird going on with me or did I get it wrong
Testosterone at any dose can cause hair loss if you have the genes for it.
I’m a 26 Male. Been suffering from hair loss since 18. I tried Fin, Minox, Derma, Nizoral, Laser comb. They seem to have worked for a while but not now. I stopped taking fin 3-4 years ago. I was thinking to get a hair system for the past few months but now I’m confused and want to go with a transplant. IThis is the right time for me to a get hair transplant or a hair system. (Cost efficient)
When comparing a wig to a hair transplant you have to think about costs, and what works for you. There is no advice that you can get to make the decision for yourself. Meet as many people with both options as you can to make that decision.
