So I was on fin for around 1 year and then stopped for 2 months and have started again for 2 months (present day) and my hairline is progressively getting worse.
Finasteride doesn’t work for everyone but it often slows or stops the hair and as long as you can accept that, it is better than losing it
This 23 year old male had taken finasteride and minoxidil for 4 months. This is a remarkable benefit in just 4 months; however, the hair length is clearly longer in the photo on the right.
There is a suggestion of early results on the photos as they are, I assume, taken from the same place with a comb-over on the 2 month photo. It is always best to style the hair the same to see the differences clearly.
Considering getting a H.T to fill in the front corners of my hairline better. This isn’t a question of if I should get it I just want some info on the healing side of things.
Say I get a H.T in late December, I’ll have enough vacation time to go away until February and not see anyone from my real life during that time. Once I am back in February, will I be able to wear a hat freely? Will the transplant be obvious if I am not wearing a hat or will it just look like it did before the transplant? Right now very few would see me as losing hair but I’ve lost enough in the corners to make it difficult to style it the way I like and would like to have a true nw1 I am just concerned with others noticing I had something done. A well done hair transplant can be done so that you don’t see it at anytime. You might have to take a few days off if you have FUE or if you are very bald. If it is just the corners, keep your hair long and use the long hair to cover anything that you think is detectable
He had so little hair before hand he couldn’t of gotten a FUE or FUT…right? Anyone got any more info?
Elton John–the story goes, had hair transplants when they were ‘PLUGS’ which left him devastated. He now uses a hair system, just like Frank Sinatra did after he was mutilated by the old type of PLUGS. This happened in the 1970s and 1980s.

This is an inherited form of hair loss that is often on both sides impacting the temple peak area and is easily fixed with hair transplant (the only solution)
I just wanted to ask if it is true that finasteride can cause penile shrinkage? My girl friend has been complaining that my hog is too large and I was wondering if taking it might at least diminish the girth.
I have a problem with this claim. You know when you are not sexually excited, you go swimming, you are out in the cold, the penis often smallest shrinks down. Try going for a a swim you you will see that it shrinks. Worrying about it I am sure doesn’t help. I don’t believe that having a large penis is an indication for taking finasteride which I don’t believe shrinks the penis.
Hey. I am a 20 years old guy and I am loosing my hair on my temples since I am 16. Right now there is the point where if I don’t go on medications I won’t ever do it because then my hair is too fucked up and it is already pretty bad. My urologist told me to not go on fin, he said it is not worth it and I should not fuck up my hormones. But lately hair loss is making me very depressed. How rare are the side effects to occur? And I don’t mean just ED. I mean brain fog and penile shrinking and stuff like that. It seems to be soo fucking retarded to repress DHT, a Hormone that is 5 times as strong as Testesterone. I mean if I hop an fin I would also hop on min, keto and dermarolling. Just to get a bit of regrowth. The thing is I already shaved my head bald 3 times and I instantly regretted it because people are me as an alien… what do u think ?

I am in my late 20s and have been balding since 22. I started taking finasteride over a year ago, and while it reversed the balding a little bid (about 20% hair grew back in the bald spot), it’s been stuck at this level for a while. I am trying to figure out how many FUE grafts I will need if I am going to do a hair transplant surgery to cover this up, and whether I can get this done under $10k in the US/California. If not, I am debating making a trip to Turkey for a cheaper all inclusive surgery. I didn’t include a picture of the front, because my hair somehow hasn’t receded in the front.

You need a Master Plan to determine not only what you need now, but what is likely to happen to you in the near or long term future as hair loss is a progressive process. As you are in your late 20s, I could transplant the crown (depending upon your hair being fine, medium or coarse) the range of grafts would be between 1800-3000 (more for fine hair.
This man had too many grafts removed from his donor area leaving him with a see-through donor area that clearly stands out with this hair length. He will have to either grow his hair long, or fill it in with Scalp Micropigmentation. This could have been avoided with careful planning, understanding the original donor density and limiting the number of FUE grafts harvested. Trading a bald frontal area for a balding donor area is not a good deal
It takes courage to embark upon microneedling. This process should be repeated weekly until there are results and then I believe you can pull back. Adding minoxidil to it before and after the microneedling and rubbing it in, might increase the value and accelerate the benefits. With a man I recently helped doing it, I applied Xylocaine gel 40 minutes before the process started to reduce the pain.
