I wasn’t sure what you were referring to, but I hunted down this article about Aderans Research Institute having a liquidation auction for all of their equipment and furniture. While interesting, I don’t have any insider information with Aderans and I am not aware of any advancements nor setbacks in hair cloning. We should watch […]

There are no proven cases where hair cloning has been performed successfully as a clinical treatment.
There is a lot of activity with clinical trials going on, but we are not privy to them. We, like you, wait to see which treatments rise to the top. I couldn’t say whether cloning or a new drug will be first to rise, though. It all depends on the ongoing research and development.
To put it in a politically correct way, the claim could not be validated by us and it did not work in our hands. Many prominent doctors/peers and medical clinics tried to replicate the research and method, and it does not hold up to the claims. If he is still promoting it, then I would […]
There are private companies that are still working on hair cloning. It has not fallen off the radar, but the progress has been slow. I can’t put a timeline on when it’ll be a reality available to the public, but I hope it will be available within my lifetime.
I believe we are closer… but there is nothing in the “pipeline” that I am aware of for a short term answer. There is ongoing research and scientists are working on hair loss / cloning / multiplication. We are all still waiting.
The point of the post you’re referencing from a couple weeks ago (FUE Back into the Linear Scar vs Scar Revision) was that once a strip surgery has been done and a linear scar is already present, a FUE procedure should not be the harvesting method of choice. To answer your question on cloning, if […]
When properly designed, Scalp MicroPigmentation (SMP) can work with hair transplants and possibly with a good cloning process once cloning is practical. Hair cloning is “not ready for prime time”, but I expect that once it is viable, any good cloning procedure must restore a normal appearance, including the leading edge of the hairline which […]
1. Genetic male pattern baldness doesn’t include the permanent zone, so diffuse loss there could be DUPA. 2. DUPA is often progressive, but it can be stable for a number of years. These conditions tend to be unstable if it is associated with genetic balding. 3. No, not that short. I am sure Dr. Bernstein […]
Thanks for sending the video. I had not seen it before. The video is of Dr. Ken Washenik from Aderans Research discussing where his company is at in the hair cloning race at the ICRAH (International Congress Research Against Hair Loss) meeting in France earlier this year. Even though it seems his voice was replaced […]
How do you really expect me to answer this question? If there is a conspiracy, how would I know this? But really, the question I must ask — Why would there even be a conspiracy? Why would corporations intentionally delay the cloning? What is the motive? Sometimes I can’t tell if someone is joking around […]
I don’t know that you can “prepare” for future cloning, but the hair that you have on the back of your scalp will be a very good source for the future. You don’t have to pluck it and save it.
With all due respect for Thailand and other foreign countries, do you really think that if hair cloning has been successful it would have escaped the research and popular media of the United States? What I’m getting at is this — just because you see it advertised in Thailand, it doesn’t mean it’s real. Hair […]
Actually, your conclusion is right on. If this process becomes a standard treatment for hair loss, then the need for a traditional transplant would not be needed as long as you’re willing to go through a procedure that involves plucking many hairs and have them placed into another part of the scalp, one hair at […]
Snippet from the article: Read the full story from the Financial Times — Unihair gets a grip on baldness There is a big difference between what we hope to achieve with using ACell in hair transplantation to multiply hairs in an ‘auto-cloning’ manner and what Unihair (formerly Aderans prior to September of this year) is […]
