The one photos that is labeled one month old, shows the area beyond the necrosis where maybe the scalp skin will survive, but the hair most likely will not. The necrotic center of this lesion looks ‘angry’ to me which means it might have some infection around it. The second patient shows a more extensive […]

Apparently the Turkish court reviewed the death and made a decision that was not favorable to the illegal practice of hair transplants. Some of the good doctors in Turkey are disappointed in the results of the court hearing. If you are going to Turkey, get a well known and established doctor. You shouldn’t have to […]
I’ve researched transplants results for the last 3 years since I initially started losing hair and always looks like the transplants results from Turkey are significantly better than the transplants done in the states. Even when you look at the results from top physicians in the states, they don’t compare to the results from a […]
This is a sad post, afirming what many people in Black Market for hair transplants tell us about many Turky clinics. There are some excellent clinics there, but too many who produced substandard service and results. We see too many problems because of inexperienced staff and doctors. What I found most interesting is that the […]
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9989033/Italian-man-mysteriously-dies-heart-attack-hair-transplant-operation-Turkey.html I hope that when his body is home, that the cause of death will be identified. It is easy to call it a heart attack, when it could have been something else. There have been other deaths during hair transplants, one in Los Angeles was due to an overdose of an anesthetic drug, for […]
Here are two photos which show two different patients who developed necrosis of the recipient area. These patients had their surgery in Turkey and will have to get wound care where they live. The area of necrosis will not grow hair. My clinic has performed over 16,000 hair transplant over 30 years with many doctors. […]
Remember 90+% of the clinics in Turkey don’t have a doctor or if they do, the doctor is not doing the surgery or the anesthesia. Make sure that the one you picked doesn’t fall into that situation. If anything should go wrong and there is no competent doctor in surgery, you could die! It happened […]
We continue to see over-harvested donor areas where those doing the hair transplants take out so much donor hair that they start making the donor area bald. In this man, clearly the hair transplants also failed as you can see from the top of his head. The donor hairs were also taken from his neck […]
This patient went to Turkey for FUE and now has the huge wound on his head. All of the skin from the area fell off and now the wound probably needs to be skin grafted once the infection is resolved. This resulted from loss of blood supply to this area. This is another example of […]
When doing a hair transplant, you must understand more than the technical issues of putting grafts into holes on the head. The person doing this obviously didn’t understand this. It was done by a clinic in Turkey that had no surgeon, no artistry and no knowledge of what makes a good hair transplant. This picket […]
My question is: What is the future plan for hair graft need? Was all of the donor hair used up? What will the donor area look like (i.e. will it be over-harvested?). These grafts are sticking out which means that it will be visible for quite a while. This doesn’t either look good or feel […]
A picture is worth 1000 words. Would you like her to design your hairline?
I had 4500 grafts in Turkey almost one year ago, I see holes in my transplant pattern. Yes, I see what you are talking about. A session of 4,500 grafts requires a great deal of skill in handling the grafts. Grafts that are out of the body exposed to air for 10 seconds will die […]
I suspect that this man may have had this surgery performed in a less than clean clinic with unskilled people who may not have been doctors and didn’t understand sterility as a concept. I don’t know the outcome but as a doctor in Europe sent on this photo, I suspect that this man will be […]
This was repaired by Dr. Schambach on the right. She redid the previous hair transplant and moved the hairline forward. In her hands, these grafts will grow. It just shows that there are no bargains that you can depend upon in this field.
