I’ve heard it’s normal to lose over 100 hairs throughout the day, but every time I wash my hair and towel dry it’s seems I’m losing a ton of hair. I’ll shampoo and each time I run my hands through my soapy hair and look at them there’ll be close to or over 10 hairs […]

We make a point to wash off all of the crusts and scabs the day and the day after the surgery. Now that you are past 12 days, it is safe to put a shampoo on your head, leave it on for 15 minutes and then gently rub the crusts off. Repeat this twice daily […]
I was just diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia at 33 years of age. My dermatologist told me that there are treatments available, but opened with the disclaimer that none of them will ever stop the progress of the condition, only slow it. I took home some minoxidil today and just based on quick searches, it seems […]
These scabs (crusts) should have been prevented with good washing techniques the day and the day after surgery. Once they form, you run a risk of graft loss until 14 days at which time you can get them out by leaving a shampoo on the area for 10 minutes, getting it water logged, and then […]
The important take-away here is that within 4 days, with proper washing techniques, there is no scabbing present and nothing detectable short of a little tinge of pinkish color if you look close. All patients having a hair transplant should look like this within 4 days of the transplant. Some of the hairs that were […]
Doctors should take charge of the post operative care instructions by teaching patients how to wash their hair on the very next day after surgery. By not teaching the proper technique, patients (like the one in the photo) will have to hide either under a hat or at home for a month until the crusts come […]

Toppik works well after a hair transplant while it is growing in. It should never be used while the crusts are still on the recipient site, which usually takes 1-3 weeks to be washed off, depending how aggressively you wash your hair. Using Toppik 3 months after my Hair Transplant? from tressless
I am sure your surgeon has photos of you immediately after the surgery, so go back and see him/her and compare these photos to what you have now. Maybe you just washed better and took off the crusts from the area shown by the arrow, and it won’t show in the immediate post-operative photos.
The women can grow their hair 2.5 meters long and I never was aware that a human can grow hair that long. They never cut their hair. I have written about this before here: https://baldingblog.com/2006/09/28/rapunzel-let-down-your-long-golden-hair/ and at that time I focused […]
