You probably have some cobble stoning type of scarring around the old hair transplants. Just removing the hair with a laser will not likely change the “bumpy” character of your scalp if that is what you are tell me. This bumpy character is partially due to the extra tissue transplanted with your hair that is […]

Unless you have a camera that takes pictures at the exact and repeatable spot on your scalp, it is almost impossible to tell. One researcher (see: Analyzing the Results of the HairMax Laser Comb) used a small tattooed dot on an area of interest and took serial photographs at regular intervals to see if there […]
My experience is increasing with the large units. Many patients using it regularly have reported improvements to me. It is totally subjective, though. As I do not charge for these treatments (only for existing patients who have had surgery at one time or another with us), there is more objectivity in this type of report […]
I do not believe that a laser that was used to remove your body hair will have an effect on your DHT levels.
There is no evidence that I’ve seen one way or the other that the Laser Comb will help with miniaturization. I did review the studies on the Laser Comb on the product’s official website and developed some opinions worth reading. See Analyzing the Results of the HairMax Laser Comb for the analysis of the Laser […]
Earlier this month, I posted an entry titled Analyzing the Results of the HairMax Laser Comb. The extensive email that I received (posted below) shows the great care that the HairMax folks went through to try to be objective. I do not doubt that objectivity was the intent, but upon reviewing the images that were […]
Ah, the HairMax LaserComb by Lexington International. It’s worth noting that lasercomb.net and hairmax.com both go to the exact same site, so the link you sent is the official site of this product. The page you sent (linked above) has 2 groups of photographs, each with multiple before/after sets. The 1st group is apparently patient […]

The story is out on the laser for hair loss. One company here in Los Angeles has embarked on a courageous FDA controlled study to answer the question — what does the laser actually do? I have read hundreds of medical articles which support laser treatment for hair loss as a valuable addition, yet good […]
Laser hair transplants as I know them, produce damage and are second class transplants. If there is a new technology, I would love to learn about it. Generally, I advise people looking at laser hair transplants to run hard and fast away from those suggesting it. With regard to miniaturization, please read the many entries […]
I have given my opinion many times on alternatives to the only two medications that are known to have value (Finasteride and Minoxidil). I am not sure if the other treatments really work from a medical point of view and there is no proof for me to endorse any of such productsn, because there is no […]
Just to be clear to all readers, you’re referring to News Articles – Laser Hair Growth. I am not certain that what you are seeing is fake, but are the effects the results of the laser alone? How much is photographic views, lighting, head positions, etc. How much is because the hair is now longer? […]
In my daily research, I came across 2 articles worth mentioning… WISTV.com – Health Alert: Laser hair growth NBC4.tv – Laser Hair Growth When I read the stories in these links, it was clear that I, the reader, was being hyped. But when you are desperate for hair — losing more and more of it […]
From your writing, it appears to me that you are experiencing male genetic hair loss which has responded to Propecia. I am glad to hear that you have been compliant on Propecia for 2 years, but as you know, Propecia may not solve the problem completely. The science is out on the various laser treatments […]
Unfortunately, there is no information on either the value of the big sit-down laser units, the different type of sit down units or the laser brush/comb, let alone a comparison between the them. Sorry, but I can not help you here but hope that some objective studies will be presented to help us all out.
